The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey review

Posted : 5 years ago on 3 January 2013 07:15 (A review of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey)

Well i can say after seeing this movie 3 times the movie gets better and better with each watch.

So the first viewing i seen was the IMAX 48fps 3D and all i really can say is that it's simply stunning the CGI looks top of the line WETA DIGITAL really took it to the next level. The movie was done perfect and i was really glad that Peter Jackson was the director of this movie i can not see anyone else doing it.

Now some may say that it was too long and that the beginning of the movie was a bit sluggish but i for one found nothing wrong with the pacing. 40 minutes in the movie and they just start to leave the shire seems about right to me. Also once that is over the film is nothing but EPIC fights with trolls/orcs/wargs and even some rock giants.

All i can say is that when i watched this film for the first time it was like watching Fellowship of the ring for the first time or even reading the EPIC books. I just fell in love with Tolkien all over again. These movies just hit me that i have never experienced while watching any other film and really that is what makes a film special.

Now i might even go watch it again having already seen it three time that's just how AMAZING this film is people said this about The dark knight rises they said it about the avengers i just didn't have that felling to watch it over and over but really ill most likely watch this film 100 times before i see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and that just as much then onto the third film.

This for me has been the best movie since 2008(The Dark Knight) and is my number one of 2012 with a sold 9.0 out of 10

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol review

Posted : 5 years, 9 months ago on 11 April 2012 08:37 (A review of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol)

Ghost Protocal was a vast improvement in the Mission Impossible series since the first one back in 1996. The cast is good im sure they could have picked a better female(Paula Patton) for this role but she did well. Simon Pegg did a great job acting in this movie though they still used him for some comic relief. To be honest i was not pleased on how Jeremy Renner character was just thrown into the movie.

Still this was a great two hour long movie with the opening scene being around ten minutes long i enjoyed it from start to finish.
